Those who attended thought of how far the nation has come since Dr. King's "I have a dream" speech, just three days before President-Elect Barack Obama's inauguration.
The Parade, featuring marching bands and floats, starts at 10am from the east side of PetCo Park (tailgate park at 13th and Imperial) and travels north on Park Blvd to J Street, then west to 7th, then south on 7th and ends at the west side of Petco Park.128_3209.JPG

Makeda Dread and WorldBeat Center's staff have honored civil rights hero Dr. King with a bus completely covered with banners celebrating many icons of our era like Marcus Garvey, Bob Marley and Barack Obama.
On the bus Dj Carlos Culture live!
